The Freedom of the Left

It truly amazes me that the left has the freedom to say and write things that a conservative could never say. This rescent cover on the New Yorker is a case in point. I have mostly conservative leaning friends who do not make a big deal about race. Righties tend to have other priorities,...family, jobs, so forth, politics tend to not be front and center.
I have never heard my blue collar friends say rasciast things about the Obamas. I have heard them say that Sen. Obama is not ready, is naieve on forighn affairs, is wrong on taxes, and is to quick to regulate. Mainly it is energy. Working people do not seem to talk about much more than the price of gas.
Sen. Obama is from the crowd that wants to throw out the oil industry because we are going to invent something utopian that will have no negative charakteristics and will solve all of our problams. What if it never happens? do we crush the working class in the meantime?

In the middle of all this the New Yorker prints this horrible rasciast cover and justifies it because it represents what the right thinks. We have not said it so they say it for us.
Horsefeathers!
They said , they printed it, and it is theirs.   They keep saying we are going to make race an issue but i think that most smart Conservatives realize that the entire MSM is waiting for someone to slip up so the whole campaighn will hang on rascism. They told us so, right?

Race has nothing to do with this campaighn from the right. From the left, nothing else seems to mater. It is about energy. If Sen. McCain and all the congressional GOP canidates make every issue energy and push "all of the above" as a policy we will win in '08 and if we relentlessly follow thru with this one issue, we will win again in '10.

The Democrats are VERY out of touch and elitist on this issue and do not evan realize it.
