Bragelina-Parents of the year?

Am I the only one who thinks that the parenting habits of Brangalina and Brad Pitt leave a lot to bo desired? Where do these kids live?
Do we really think Hotels and Jet airplanes are a healthy home for kids? Isn't it accepted that kids need consistancy? A room of their own. Friends. They are not fashion assesories.
I think the school experience of Maddox was the lowest point. To alow this child to go to a school for a couple of months, to turn every pick-up and delivery of the child into a media event, and then to yank him out just as soon as he has time to make a few friends.
I think we are looking at some real tragic lives in the making.
Also what about the Coogin Laws. If they sell the first pictures of their child for millions, doesn't some of the money go into trust by law?
These are not good parents. And then to deliberately go to France to have the twins. No American birth. I guess that's not good enough for THEIR kids.

election

I've noticed on the liberal talk shows there appears to be only one canidate. Not since Reagan went to Bitburg is a forieghn trip going to get the coverege that Sen. Obamas trip will get to Europe and the middle east. You don't think the MSM has an opinion do you?
They are so over the top i think it will back fire. They are setting Sen. Obama up as a deity and he cannot sustain this.
Besides the job of The Christ Child is taken.

price of oil

It seems that the first result of Bush cancaling the executive order against offshore drilling has been a slight drop in the price per barrel of oil. this is the other side of the influence of the speculaters. What is embarresing is that he did not undo Clinton era orders, it was his Dad's order which shows how clueless they are.
He should have done this five years ago. It should have been one of the intergal tactics on the war. And now going into the election, the drilling issues should be the only issue. The GOP should hammer at every level that we need to drill as well as other stuff and it is the Dems who wont let us because of ideoligal reasons.
Every voter in America should know that the Demeocrats and the left want gas prices high. Every voter should know about the GOP's policy of "All of the Above".
It is a winning issue but it takes the courege of their convictions and that may be in short supply.

Energy Solution

All of the above.

This should be not only the campaighn slogan for the right in this election, but a governing philosophy. The people are really suffering because of energy policy. The cost of everything is going up. it is crushing the life out of our economy. Weather we are in reccesion or not ,people are afraid to spen their money because of the uncertainty. We have done nothing so far. The people who make descitions in this country are in a position to simply write a check.

It will hit them and perhaps it has started with a drop in the market. The consumer economy is 2/3rds of the of our economy and people are afraid or unable to buy stuff. The position of the left is not acceptable. They seem to be saying that we cannot drill because it will not do anygood for ten years. I do not accept this. The minute we pass the legislation, it will change the price because of speculation.
But evan if it takes ten years,...so what. we cannot do it because it only works in the ling run.

All of the above.

drill, drill, drill.
Drill everything we have. We do not stop offshore drilling by not doing it ourselves. We simply cede the field to the Chinese, Mexicans, and Cubans.
We do not stop artic drilling by not drilling, we just leave it to Canada and Russia. It makes no sence. The royalties can benifit us and not
adversaries.

Nucleor
What is the point of electric vehickles if they are recharged with oil produced electricity. Nucleor plants in every state with the waste stored on site under EPA regulation.

Coal.
Technology will make it cleaner and cleaner and we have our own. Cars are 99% pollution free with technology, coal plants can do this.

New Technologys
Sure,...why not? this is the future. some user taxes can evan be used to fund research. It may be the future but we are stuck in the present and people need to live and work.

Conservation.
We should be downsizing our auto fleet and thats that. There is no reason that 135 pound people need 2 & 1/2 vehickles to run to the store for groceries. Private jet travel should be taxed out of excitance and public transportation should be substidized and expanded.

All of the above. If the GOP just has the courege to take a stand.

The Freedom of the Left

It truly amazes me that the left has the freedom to say and write things that a conservative could never say. This rescent cover on the New Yorker is a case in point. I have mostly conservative leaning friends who do not make a big deal about race. Righties tend to have other priorities,...family, jobs, so forth, politics tend to not be front and center.
I have never heard my blue collar friends say rasciast things about the Obamas. I have heard them say that Sen. Obama is not ready, is naieve on forighn affairs, is wrong on taxes, and is to quick to regulate. Mainly it is energy. Working people do not seem to talk about much more than the price of gas.
Sen. Obama is from the crowd that wants to throw out the oil industry because we are going to invent something utopian that will have no negative charakteristics and will solve all of our problams. What if it never happens? do we crush the working class in the meantime?

In the middle of all this the New Yorker prints this horrible rasciast cover and justifies it because it represents what the right thinks. We have not said it so they say it for us.
Horsefeathers!
They said , they printed it, and it is theirs.   They keep saying we are going to make race an issue but i think that most smart Conservatives realize that the entire MSM is waiting for someone to slip up so the whole campaighn will hang on rascism. They told us so, right?

Race has nothing to do with this campaighn from the right. From the left, nothing else seems to mater. It is about energy. If Sen. McCain and all the congressional GOP canidates make every issue energy and push "all of the above" as a policy we will win in '08 and if we relentlessly follow thru with this one issue, we will win again in '10.

The Democrats are VERY out of touch and elitist on this issue and do not evan realize it.

The Election

There is a new blog on Townhall,...mine.

Spending a lot of time gather information gives me the urge to share my unique opinions. Also it thrills me that I sound so much more intelligent than I really am. Thank G-D for spell check.

My first post is on the election.

This has been a very frustrating election because as a conservative I really do not feel that we had a good candidate this year. no horse in this race.

Gov. Hucklebee in my opinion would have been too divisive and I feel that there is ethical baggage that the MSM was holding back on that they will unleash in the general election. As I understand it he has been forced to give back money on more than one occasion that he was not supposed to have in the first place. His devisevness involves his call to "retake the country for Christ". this makes me nervous. I am not a Christian and growing up Jewish in a fundementalists community and going to public school back when we prayed in school, I have never felt threatened. I have always felt comfortable, but it seems that Reagan always referred to "people of faith". That seemed to be very inclusive. "Retaking the Country for Christ" is not going to sell and the point of an election is to win it. That slogan would simply turn off too many people.

I would have been ok with Romney but he did not catch on. Some folks were turned off by his Mormonism and some are uncomfortable with someone who has grown up super wealthy. Just doesn't understand.

Ron Paul,...what can I say, in my heart I think he is nuts. I know that angers a lot of people but his vision simply is utopian and is not doable. He cannot win in november.

Fed Thompson would have been my first choice. The fact that he was accused of not having the fire in his belly confirmed him in my opinion. People who want the position in a serious way are suspicious right at first glance.

McCain. John McCain. I cannot believe that this is the best we can do. He is not acceptable exept on two issues. He is Politicaly Correct from the Right's perspective on Taxes and Judges. Senator Obama, a perfect gentleman I am sure, is wrong on every issue. The 5-4 descition on the 2nd amendment scares me and makes me realize that we are one vote away from losing our most important right. It guerantees all the others:)

We live in the world that we are in and in the time that we are in. McCain or Obama, that is the deal. I urge everyone to hold your noses on election day and vote McCain. We truly have no choice.
